For God’s Glory - Scripture Challenge - 1 Corinthians 10:31
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
We’re often tempted to think worship only happens on Sundays or during “spiritual” activities, but today’s verse reminds us that everything we do can be an offering to God. Even the most ordinary, everyday moments—yes, even eating and drinking—can be used to glorify Him.
In 1 Corinthians 10, Paul is addressing a practical issue about food and Christian liberty, but then he zooms out and delivers this sweeping truth: “Whatever you do… do it all for the glory of God.”
That phrase—“whatever you do”—is freeing and humbling at the same time. It means that our lives are full of opportunities to reflect God’s goodness, love, and grace. Washing dishes? Do it with a thankful heart. Running errands? Do it with kindness. Creating art? Do it as a form of praise.
God’s glory isn’t confined to the church building. He is glorified when we love our neighbor, when we speak words of life, when we choose humility, when we work diligently, when we give generously. He is even glorified when we rest well, acknowledging that we are not the ones holding the world together—He is.
Doing all for His glory means inviting Him into every space and every task—not just the big, visible moments, but also the quiet and unseen ones.
Whether you're stirring soup or stirring hearts, God can be glorified through you. Let your life become a song of praise—where even the simple things point back to Him. You don’t have to be perfect, just willing. In every moment today, pause and ask, “How can I glorify God in this?”
