Fully Armored: A Mom on Mission
“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:10-11
Motherhood is not for the faint of heart. It’s messy, beautiful, exhausting, sacred work. But what the world may overlook, heaven celebrates—because every diaper changed, every tear wiped, every prayer whispered is part of a greater battle: the spiritual one.
Paul wrote in Ephesians about the Armor of God, and while he described helmets, swords, and shields, the reality for many moms looks a little different:
The Toolbelt of Truth holds her day together—scripture cards, sticky notes, and reminders that God is still good, even on hard days.
The Apron of Righteousness covers her with grace as she folds laundry, packs lunches, and shows mercy when patience wears thin.
The Tennis Shoes of Peace carry her from room to room, errand to errand, as she speaks calm into chaotic moments.
The Bible as her Shield of Faith blocks the lies that say she’s not enough—because God says she is chosen, equipped, and loved.
The Chef Hat of Salvation rests on her head as she thinks, prays, and plans. It’s not just a hat—it’s a crown of identity in Christ.
The Mop as her Sword of the Spirit may clean the floor, but it’s also a symbol of her authority in Jesus—to sweep out fear, speak truth, and stand strong for her home.
This isn’t just cute imagery—it’s real armor for a real woman doing real Kingdom work. And the enemy knows that a woman who stands in her identity, grounded in truth, and armed with the Word, is a real threat to darkness.
You may feel tired, overwhelmed, or unnoticed—but, you are a warrior.
God sees you. He’s with you.
And He’s given you everything you need to stand.
