Harvest Is Coming - Scripture Challenge - Day 20

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
— Galatians 6:9

Serving, creating, encouraging, loving—it all takes energy. And let’s be honest, there are days when doing good feels hard. Maybe you’ve poured out your heart, time, or talents, and you wonder if it even matters. That’s why Galatians 6:9 is such a comforting and motivating reminder: don’t give up—your harvest is on its way.

Many years ago, I was a directing a children’s choir at my church. One of the songs from a musical (I forgot the name of the musical) was “Never Give Up”. I still sing that song to this day. It was so catchy but so meaningful.

Never, never, never, never give up
You can laugh, you can cry, you can roll your eyes
but never, never, never give up!
— Children's Musical

God sees every act of obedience, every quiet sacrifice, every step of faith. The seeds you plant today—through kind words, faithful journaling, prayer, or creativity—will one day bloom into something beautiful. But harvests take time.

This verse encourages us to keep going, even when the results aren’t immediate. Just like a farmer who tends their fields with patience and hope, we’re called to trust in God’s perfect timing.

And oh, what a harvest it will be! Not just for ourselves, but for the people around us who are touched by the light we shine and the love we give.

🌻 Reflect

  • Where in your life have you been feeling weary?

  • What seeds of kindness, creativity, or faithfulness are you planting?

  • How can you lean on God’s strength today to keep going?
